Forsythia

"...In the yard I saw squirrels at frolic and that burst of yellow
the forsythia bush delivers faithfully to us each spring.
Gifts from God,
these sights and sounds,
this placid here and now..."
from THE HOUR I FIRST BELIEVED
by Wally Lamb

Is it just me, or are the forsythia more
ourstanding than usual this year?

By the way, this is an outstanding novel.

  1. So pretty and one of my favorite spring blooms! A huge tree just fell across my biggest forsythia. Tree crew has to come in this week to get it out. Hopefully it will still bloom.

  5. It is always one of the first signs of Spring. I love it when the flowers start to bloom. I am watching my magnolia tree. Last year was beautiful, I just hope no more snow and cold weather Beautiful picture. Have a great day. Your Missouri Friend.

  7. The forsythia is amazing!! Seeing spring pop out all over is one of life's greatest pleasures! Susan, you stay so far ahead of me on reading! I can't seem to keep up with all my chores right now! Ugh! I'm ready to prop up on the porch and read, read, read... but, no chance coming soon! Blessings ~ Tanna
