In the Pink!

What could be better than
a BIG dose of PINK
during the dreary month of January?

I have been immersed in pink
for the past couple of weeks.

It started with a need to make
Pink FUSION
for my cowl....

...and hat kits.

Since the yarns were all pulled
and together,
and I did not already have one made
I decided to knit a cowl.

From there,
a hat seemed to be
the next project to do.

Then of course,
what's a hat
without a matching scarf?

My shop shelves are fully
stocked with pink now.
Hope you're
"in the pink"
too!

On My Needles Today...

It's been a very busy week here.
We made it through the yard sale and Bistro
last weekend.
I'll tell you all about it on Saturday.
Since then I have felt exhausted and
have been very happy to spend
a little time getting back into my zen
with a little knitting!
Today I am working on a scarf
from FUSION, color way "Rain Forest."
I love these colors and
they are putting me in the mood for Fall!

Happy Knitting!

On My Needles Today...

...is a "bandanna" cowl.
It is shaped into a point at the center front,
giving it a bandanna look when worn.
I am knitting it with
Plymouth Yarn's GINA,
a wonderful space dyed wool.

Happy knitting!

On My Needles Today...

...is a pretty cable named
"Hollow Oak."
This is the beginning of a
new hat design.

Here is an update on recent projects:

This is the finished hat from last week.
Who says brown has to be dull?

My triangular scarf from a couple of weeks ago
can also be worn as a traditional shawl.
Can you see the touch of
"radiant orchid,"
Pantone's Color of the Year?

Happy Knitting!

On My Needles Today...

…is the beginning of a triangular scarf,
in shades of blue.
It will have fringe on two sides.

Here's a little update of a couple of other projects this month:

A couple of weeks ago I was working on a second mitten
to go with one already finished.
Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention and
knitted it exactly like the first…
meaning I had two right handed mittens.
So I had to knit two more left handed ones
to go with those already knitted!

The scarf from last week is now finished!

My Newest Creations!

Last time I told you I had recently purchased
lots of scarves and was working
on a new project.

I'm knitting cowls,
my newest passion
and lining them with pretty scarves!

This results in a totally reversible neck warmer.

You can wear it with the scarf against your neck.
(Some of my cowls are lined with cashmere
and feel incredible against your neck.)

Or, you can wear it with the hand knitted side against
your neck, for a really cozy feel,
and a pretty plaid scarf around your neck.

In addition to the cashmere scarves,
I'm also using  some pretty
faux silk ones.

I'm using the scarf as my inspiration for the yarn
and designing the FUSION Yarn to perfectly
coordinate with the scarf.

I've just listed some in
my Etsy shop this morning
and have plans to add more
and more as the holiday season approaches.
Stop in and have a look!

Cashmere and Other Scarves

Last Sunday, Nancy and I made a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

It's only about a two hour drive from our house.
We attend the Norton Apparel, Jewelry & Gift Market
at least once a year.
This market is held four times during the year.
It's a "trade only" wholesale show and you must have
a business license to attend.
It's mainly a cash and carry show for
jewelry (costume to high end), handbags, apparel
and some gift items.
I'm always on the look out for things for our

I've been working on a new knitted item
for my Etsy shop
and was in the market for scarves.
I came home with some gorgeous ones!
The "finds" for the day were the cashmere ones above.

I also got a nice selection of
"faux" silk scarves.
I'm very excited about my new project
for these scarves.
I'll be sharing on Friday,
so be sure to visit back then!
