Playing in the Yarn

I'm having "one of those days" today.
We've had freezing rain ALL day.
So I've been playing with my yarn stash
and trying to get inspired to create something new.

This is the start of something...
...what??? I began a
couple of months ago.
Then it got put away ("out of the way") because
holiday activities became too demanding.
Now that I've gotten it out again,
I don't love it so much, so it's going to be unravelled
and hopefully reworked into something else.
Life is too short to spend it knitting something about which
you're not wildly excited.
So, although I've done lots of creative thinking today,
nothing has been accomplished...
I do plan to make some homemade soup later,
so at least I'll have something to
show for the day.

The unravelling will be fun! Same kind of day - not much accomplished on the list!

A great homemade soup and unraveling the yarn will be fun. Two perfect activities when it is raining and cold outside.

Happy Holidays to you!

Susan,
Funny how we creative crafty types always feel the need to show for our time...I would love to play in your yarn stash and make soup!
Hope you are staying warm!

It makes me feel good to see this here. I have been organizing and purging, and I can't believe the size of my own yarn stash ... complete with half finished projects that will never be 'finished' projects. Found two socks still on the needles ... not planning to finish the socks in question, or begin their mates, so I should probably be honest with myself and do some unraveling of my own.

Soup and yarn are the BEST ways to hole up in winter!
