Goodbye…
This is the computer I have been using for the past 5 or 6 years.
It was a "hand me down" from my daughter Kate
when she graduated college.
She was updating to an Apple laptop at the time.
Since her "cast off" was newer than the computer I
was using at the time,
I was delighted to get it.
It has served me well for the past few years.
However, I read several months ago that
this spring, its operating system, Windows XP
would no longer be supported,
(plus it was starting to get a bit crotchety).
So…time for an update.
Hello!!!
This is my after Christmas gift to myself!
I have had it about a week
and it is amazing how much of my time
it has consumed.
Apple's operating system is
quite different from a PCs
and I am step…by…slow...step
learning the ins and outs.
One thing I have learned during this process is that
you CAN teach an old dog new tricks…
it just takes a LOT longer.
Woof, woof...

What a great present to yourself! Every time we upgrade, it's a whole new operating system to learn. I'm using the new Windows now & have finally learned how to find things.
What a great present to yourself! I don't do Apple computers, just could never get comfortable with the OS. This old dog just has too many other new tricks to learn so my computer will stay a laptop PC... I too will be needing a new one sometime sooner rather than later... hmmm, now where did I put that credit card? LOL!
I moved my blog home by the way over to wordpress and hope you will follow me over there?! http://elisabetpollockstudio.wordpress.com/
Hugs my dear friend and stay warm!
I love Apple and can't use anything else. It's so easy once you get the hang of it. I'm sure you'll love it.
Enjoy! I've never looked back since I went from PC to Mac! ;)
Hey Susan, I have been thinking about you a lot lately, noticing that you were not blogging. I looked in on you at your Etsy shop, which is nice and full so I just figured you were busy being creative. I also know that learning Apple is no picnic! LOL! I gave up on them... I have too many other things I want to learn and a new operating system is not on that list! :D
I hope you are well and things are going positively for you on the Apple learning curve. I don't know if you know but I moved my blog to wordpress and I do so hope you will be a follower over at my new blogging home, which is http://elisabetpollockstudio[dot]wordpress[dot]com
Look forward to hearing from you whenever you get some time... until then,
Hugs my sweet blogging sister,
Beth P
